Wapadrand Security Village |
The Wapadrand Security Village was
established to administer the common interest of its residents and
empowered to plan, implement and uphold a "secure family lifestyle".
The Wapadrand Residents
Association consist of residents voluntary becoming members of the
Association who lives in Wapadrand bordered by Hans Strydom Avenue and
Lynnwood Road with the mountain range as the southern border.
Due to unacceptable
levels of crime in Wapadrand, the residents voluntarily decided to implement access control in the suburb. Funds were made available by these residents and the rest is history.
The Estate is access controlled and all residents are issued with electronic
access tags, whilst visitors are pre-cleared from the entrances. At the
Security Control Room, the electric fence along the perimeter and all vehicle access
are electronically monitored on a 24
hour basis. The Estate is also patrolled by Security personnel on a 24
hour basis.
The streets of Wapadrand Security Village is for the movement of all, whether by foot, running shoe, roller skate, bicycle, motor cycle, and lastly cars. In that order, as living is important to us.
Security and privacy issues are as important to us as they are to you.
 Residents of Wapadrand Security Village are invited to register and become website users. This will enable us to keep all residents up to date on news as well as all important issues and events. The Newsletter will also be sent electronically to all users that subscribe to it.
By registering you will also become part of the Community Message Board. This section will only be available to Wapadrand Residents and approval of users will be done by the Management. Important issues as well as safety information will be listed on the message board. Residents can participate and list warnings and issues under this section by submitting their messages on the message board. It is Important to notice that no message will be listed unless it is approved by the management.
By standing together we can be safe and ensure that we stay that way.
